SUMMARY PRN X-RAY TECH
- Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
- Operates Computerized Tomography and Radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs Radiographic C.T., and CTA’s – Routine/trauma setting of high diagnostic quality.
- Performs Diagnostic X-Rays- Routine/trauma setting of high diagnostic quality.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Work collaboratively with the manager to troubleshoot, monitor and maintain proper and efficient operation of image transfer, archival, and image/report distribution,
- Work collaboratively with the Imaging Department Manager, Medical Director, and facility Administration for Process Improvement.
- Participates in a rotational call schedule for coverage outside routine departmental hours as needed.
- Complete all essential paperwork related to exam performed, i.e.: orders, requisitions, log sheet, questionnaires, contrast and procedure consent forms.
- Observe and comply with all hospital and department specific policies and procedures.
- Observe and comply with Radiologic Technology Code of Ethics.
- Stock and clean work areas.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PACS and networking knowledge
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
